The Chairperson LC3 of Aputi Sub-county in Amolatar District Kamilo Olwit has urged the LC1 and LC2 Chairpersons in the Sub-county to participate actively child right protection. He said many children especially the girls are being abused through early marriages and teenage pregnancies which can be avoided if the LCs are vigilant enough.
The Chairperson was on Monday addressing the local leaders during a sensitisation workshop on Child Rights at Aputi Sub-county Headquarters. Meanwhile, the Chairperson LC2 of Opali parish Mr. Okai Moses said from the workshop, they have realised that the community have been denying many children their rights to education, food and health among others.
