Police in Lira is holding a 24 year old man who was on Tuesday arresting in possession of 3 police uniforms, dismantled motorcycle parts, a Number plate number UDV 021N and one motorcycle number UEA 122A.

Oyaka Emmanuel, a resident of Omito Parish, Adyel Divison in Lira Municipality was arrested by police at his residence after his wife who suspected him to be a thief, notified the police.

In her statement to the police, her husband barely sleeps at home and occasionally dresses up like a policeman and disappears with his colleagues only to surface in the morning with dismantled motorcycle parts.

David Ongom Mudong the North Kyoga Police spokesperson said this prompted the police to arrest his and later mount a search for possible exhibits.

Mudong confirmed that an investigation has been instituted to ascertain the facts while Oyaka has been charged with two counts of stealing vehicles and being in possession of government stores.
