Health Worker On Lira Police Most Wanted List

Two workers of Amac Health Centre III who were arrested last week have been charged with theft of government drugs .

The duo according to the police spokesperson for North Kyoga have been released on police bond but will be arraigned before court of law once the investigations are complete.

Mudong said that the duo had conspired with one boda-boda cyclist identified as Emmanuel Okello and stole drugs from the out patient department where he carried boxes of HIV testing kits, Malaria testing kits among other drugs.

He added that Okello is still at large but is on police wanted list.

On Sunday last week the police in Lira headed by the Resident district Commissioner Robert Abak recovered drugs worth millions of shillings from one of the private health facilities based in Kakoge in Ojwina division upon the arrests of two nurses one from Amac Health Centre III and the proprietor of the Kakoge based clinic.
