Unidentified Man in 40s Found Dead in Kole

Residents of Ayer in Kole town council were yesterday shocked after coming across a mysterious dead body apparently dropped only a kilometer from the town council center in broad day.

The LC 3 Chairperson for Ayer Town Council, Richard Okello Ojok said that the man about 6 ft and in his early 40s, had 4,000 shillings in a 2,000 shillings denominations and a razor-blade tied on his hand.

He added that the deceased was totally naked with both legs and arms tied using white shirt.

The deceased, according to police was spotted at around 2:30 pm and immediately brought to Lira Regional Referral hospital for postmortem. There was no document found on the body to help in the identification.

Jimmy Mogi Agaba, the Kole district Officer in Charge of Criminal Investigations confirmed the incident saying they have began making inquiries into reports that the body is suspected to have been dropped off from a saloon car which number plate was not immediately recorded.

Agaba however called upon anybody whose relative got lost to check with Lira main hospital administration.
