Dokolo Woman MP Hon. Cecilia Atim Ogwal has questioned the manner in which police in the district has been acting pertaining the death of Alito primary School pupil, allegedly killed by two Asians.

Speaking to Our reporter,Hon. Ogwal said police has been acting inappropriately in handling the case. She cited the blocking of a meeting organised by Lango Paramount Chief to pay last respects and conduct rituals on the deceased after the incident. According to Hon. Ogwal, the police has no right to block such a meeting and should allow the people of Lango to mourn their son.

According to the chairperson of the burial committee, Gilbert Odongo, they had planned to take the body of Okello to Lango Cultural Centre on Friday in order for clan leaders to pay their last respect but police blocked the program and shielded the place. He however asked the people of Lango to abide by police and avoid any acts of violence over the matter.

The body of Okello Dickens will be laid to rest on Saturday tomorrow in Dog-Gudu Village ,Alito parish, Alito Sub-county in Kole district. The burial is expected to be attended by government officials, religious, political, and cultural leaders and the locals among others.
